Eucalyptus is a fast-growing evergreen tree, leaves and the essential oil is used in the treatment for a range of conditions. Eucalyptus oil is used as an antiseptic, for cosmetic purposes, as a perfume, features in creams and ointments, relieves muscle and joint pain. As an ingredient in many over-the-counter products, it is used to reduce symptoms of colds, coughs, and congestion. Indian Ayurvedic has incorporated eucalyptus oil in many treatments.

 

Amazing Uses of Eucalyptus oil

Add a drop of Eucalyptus oil on the bottom of your feet before you go to bed for a more restful sleep.

Can be used for healing wounds, ulcers, burns, cuts, abrasions, and sores. It is also an effective salve for stings and insect bites.

Effective in treating respiratory problems, like a cough, cold, running nose, sinus, asthma, nasal congestion. Simply massage 1-3 drops onto the chest, soothing effect of eucalyptus aroma and vapors will calm the throat and enlarge the blood vessels, which will allow more oxygen into the lungs to achieve normal breathing.

The anti-inflammatory properties of eucalyptus essential oil relieve asthma symptoms. Gargling eucalyptus oil mixed with warm water consistently is effective in treating sore throats.

Nasal congestion - take a bath with a few drops of Eucalyptus oil mixed into the water to help support breathing.
